Dissection Planes

Surgical Spaces

The "corridors" of dissection. Knowing them is key to safe surgery.

The face has natural anatomical spaces — cleavage planes where tissues separate easily and, more importantly, safely. Dissecting within these spaces minimizes bleeding and nerve injury risk.
