Edema and Ecchymosis

Endomidface is characterized by significantly less edema compared to more extensive techniques. This is due to the focused approach on the midface and preservation of lymphatic drainage.

What to Expect

  • First 48h: More pronounced edema, mainly periorbital
  • 3-5 days: Peak edema, beginning of resolution
  • 7-10 days: Minimal residual edema, patient presentable
  • 2-4 weeks: Complete resolution in most cases

Tips to Optimize Recovery

Apply cold compresses in first 48h (20 min on/off)

Keep head elevated even during the day

Avoid excess salt (contributes to fluid retention)

No makeup on operated area for 7-10 days

"She was discharged from the surgical center 2 hours after completion. Photo at 2 weeks already showing significant result. This strategy of dissecting and elevating the midface made me save time, continue with local anesthesia and sedation, and have much less edema."
